CHARITY GOLF DAY
The Seren Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner
One of our biggest fundraising events we hold annually is our Charity Golf day, organised by bereaved parents Gwyn and Claire Roberts in memory of their daughter Seren. Over 400 people have attended the events most returning year on year, with the event being succesful in having raised over £25,000 to date for Cardiff and Newport SANDS.
2015 - Pontypool Golf Club
Back for it's 5th installment, the Seren Roberts Memorial Tournament took place on 19th June 2015 at Pontypool Golf Club. A Shotgun start this year saw 45 golfers enjoiy a great days golf under clear blue skies.
The evening auction and quiz help raised signiificant contributions to our charity.
2014 - Cottrell Park Golf Resort, Nr Cardiff
In the blazing mid summers sunshine, The Seren Roberts Memorial Tournament returned to Cottrell Park Golf resort for its 4th annual event.
A record breaking turnout of 83 golfers took to the Button Gwinnett Course and the fine weather helped to produce some fantastic scores.
2013 - Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa, Nr Caerphilly
Our 3rd Seren Roberts Memorial Golf Tournament and Fundraising Dinner, held at Bryn Meadows Golf Hotel and Spa.
Once again the event was a terrific success, raising a record £4,133.13 (after costs) for Cardiff and Newport SANDS, with 70 golfers competing for an array of prizes on offer
2012 - Peterstone Lakes Golf Club, Nr Newport
June 29th 2012 saw Peterstone Lakes Golf club near Cardiff host the 2nd Annual Seren Roberts Memorial Trophy golf tournament, organised by Cardiff and Newport SANDS.
This event proved just as successful. Over 50 golfers joined in the competition. Luckily, the weather held clear for most of the day, which led to some terrific scores.
